Our business operates a site-driven structure supported by centralised corporate functions, to improve efficiency across our operations. As of 31 December 2022, MAB employs 489 employees and independent contractors. This excludes third-party service providers including at Richards bay port. Amongst leaders in South African thermal coal miners, we are committed to performing our operations with a view to a sustainable future, in accordance with our environmental, social and governance (ESG) programmes. Accordingly, our ESG framework prioritizes those ESG areas most salient to host communities and stakeholders. It organises how these matters are integrated into MAB’s operations. MAB supplies over 50000 to 250000 MT of coal per month to different market with exports reaching various regions, including Asia, and Europe. MAB CHROME SUPPLY

South Africa holds about 70% of the world’s total chrome reserves. Most of this comes from the Bushveld Igneous Complex ores in the Steelpoort Valley, which produce 75% of the world’s ferrochrome. MAB Chrome is a progressive, innovative company which, along with making a significant contribution to the South African economy and mining sector, is actively striving to be an employer of choice. Our chrome operations form an integral part of our overall chrome and PGM strategy, targeting the upfront recovery of chrome from ore to produce a PGM containing discard stream, which is supplied to the PGM operations. MAB, through its know-how, technology and IP, has focused on achieving industry leading operational efficiencies which enables a continued expansion of chrome operations offering chrome mining companies access to MAB highly efficient and cost effective chrome processing facilities.
